Dara Khosrowshahi

Dara Khosrowshahi is CEO of human cloud, ride-sharing firm Uber, whose success has led to a myriad of imitators applying its business model to other consumer services. Khosrowshahi in 2017 replaced Travis Kalanick, who stepped down from the role under pressure from shareholders. Khosrowshahi previously was CEO of Expedia, where he grew the company into one of the world’s largest online travel companies. SIA ranks Uber as the largest consumer-focused human cloud platform in the world with estimated gross spend of $37.3 billion in 2017. Uber filed a confidential registration for an initial public offering in December 2018 and may go public this year. Its valuation was recently $76 billion, but Uber could be worth $120 billion in an IPO.
