Lou co-founded Shiftgig in 2011 and served as its CEO until this year. To date, Chicago-based Shiftgig has raised $59 million in capital, hired more than 41,000 workers and helped more than 2,700 clients. Shiftgig was named Innovator of the Year by HR Dive and included on Deloitte’s 2017 Technology Fast 500 list. Lou was also a finalist for the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year award for the Midwest in 2017.
