In 2015, Patel also received the “catalyst award” from the National Minority Supplier Development Council. Patel is founder and chairman of Collabera, which ranks as the ninth-largest US IT staffing firm. Patel began Collabera in 1996 when he purchased Global Consultants Inc., and he later went on to help pioneer the 24/7 offshore recruiting model. And in 2013, Collabera spun off its solutions business into another company called Brillo. Today, Collabera has more than 40 offices across the globe.
