Masumi Minegishi joined Recruit Co. Ltd. (now known as Recruit Holdings Co. Ltd.) in 1987 and was appointed executive officer at the age of 39, becoming the youngest executive officer at the time. He has been serving in his current position as president, CEO and representative director of Recruit — the fifth-largest staffing firm in the world — since 2012. In order to realize further growth, Recruit changed its governance system under Minegishi’s leadership in 2018 to enhance the independence of each business unit. In May 2019, Recruit announced that company revenue and EBITDA both reached new record highs and that the company’s overseas revenue rate, which included the US, is nearly 50%.
