Patricia Griffin is president and CEO of ICon Professional services. The Foster City, Calif.- based firm provides independent contractor compliance and payrolling. Griffin founded the firm in 1997 in the wake of the Vizcaino v. Microsoft case when large companies expressed a need to manage the risk of using independent contractors. ICon was one of the first of the IC compliance breed of firms and has never had one of its determinations overturned in an audit. Prior to ICon, Griffin spent 17 years at Adecco, which involved serving as VP of operations, North America.
