The company rebranded to Catalant Technologies Inc. from HourlyNerd in July 2016, a name that better reflects the company’s role in defining how enterprises access talent. The company also announced it received $22 million in Series C financing, led by General Catalyst Partners. Mark Cuban, known for his appearances on the “Shark Tank” television show, also took part in the funding round, which increased total funds raised by Catalant to more than $33 million. Finally, this year, Biederman also received some recognition for his efforts when he; Pat Petitti, Catalant co-CEO; and Peter Maglathlin, CFO, were named EY Entrepreneur of the Year 2016 emerging company award winner in New England.
