William Grubbs is president and CEO of Cross Country Healthcare Inc., the third-largest US healthcare staffing firm. Under his leadership, the company has grown organically as well as through acquisitions, which include Medical Staffing Network, Allied Health Group, Mediscan, and most recently, US Resources Healthcare. Cross Country also ranks as the second-largest travel nurse and second-largest per diem nurse staffing firm in the United States. Grubbs is a tenured member of the staffing industry, having served as executive VP and COO of TrueBlue Inc. He was also COO at SFN Group and part of the executive team that sold the company to Randstad in 2011.
