Andrea Ávila, CEO of Randstad Argentina and Uruguay, started her career at her family’s staffing firm, Servicios Rosario. After holding various positions, she was appointed executive director in 1997 and oversaw the company’s acquisition by UK staffing firm Select Appointments, which was then acquired by Dutch staffing firm Vedior Group in 1999. Following the acquisition, Ávila became responsible for Vedior’s operations in Chile and Uruguay. In 2008, Vedior was acquired by Randstad. She is also a lawyer as well as treasurer of the board of the Argentina Chamber of Specialized Business Services (CASEEC). Ávila has been named to Staffing Industry Analysts’ Global Power 100 — Women in Staffing list for the past two years.
